Field meeting cancelled

We have reluctantly decided to cancel the botany and general field meeting at Brightside and the River Don that was due to take place on Sunday 26th June 2016. Major works are currently under way on this section of the River Don as part of the Sheffield Lower Don Valley Flood Defence Project. The riverside walkway has been closed off and the adjoining grassland is being used for storing equipment and materials. Brightside Bridge is also due to be closed for repairs. We hope to reschedule the meeting in June 2017, by which time the works should have been completed.
