]]> Barnsley Butterfly Atlas https://www.sorby.org.uk/barnsley-butterfly-atlas/ Mon, 24 Feb 2020 22:21:04 +0000 http://www.sorby.org.uk/?p=4026 The Barnsley Butterfly Atlas project was launched in May 2017 with support from the Dearne Valley Landscape Partnership. The project aims to map the distribution of all the butterfly species found across the Borough of Barnsley in the 20 year period from 2000 to 2020.

Phillip Whelpdale of the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust has produced an interim set of species distribution maps, using the data held by BBRC at 07 January 2020. These are “working” maps, published here with the aim of encouraging more recording, particularly in the blank grid squares.
