8. Pipistrelle Pipistrellus agg.

All Records 1975-1997

55kH 1996-1997

The map on the left includes all known records of both phonotypes, 45kH and 55kH, now regarded as separate species. Most of these are of the 45kH species, but many records, particularly specimens identified in the hand, have not been critically identified. The differences have only been clarified in the past two years or so, and we now need to determine the distribution patterns of both species in our region. The map on the right indicates 55kH Pipistrelles identified in 1996 & 1997.
