A considerable amount of effort has been put in by a number of people to survey Harvest Mouse nests and the result has been most spectacular. They have now been shown to be much more widely distributed to the east of Sheffield than was previously thought and a few nests have also been recorded in the Peak District. It is likely that even more colonies remain to be discovered. Most records on the map below are post-1990.
