The Peak District populations are now believed to be almost extinct. Serotine Eptesicus serotinus No definite new records since 1977 when a corpse was found in Fenton Wood, Greasbrough. Sheffield Bat Group has possible bat-detector soundings from nearby Wentworth Park in recent years, but more work is required to confirm these provisional records.
